The following quality assurance standards and codes are ulized by ASPHALT UNITY CONSTRUCTION for operaon in order to achieve quality objecves and goals. These form the basic of the quality assurance system, which is adopted by ASPHALT UNITY CONSTRUCTION engineering and managerial funcon s. they are;

DEFINITIONS AND ABBREVIATIONS
In fulfillment of compliance with BS EB ISO 9000 Families, the terminology used in this Quality manual is drawn from ISO 8402 (Quality – vocabulary)
QUALITY ASSURANCE
All those planned and systematic actions necessary to provide confidence that a product or service will satisfy requirements for quality.
QUALITY CONTROL
The operational techniques and activities that are used to fulfill requirements for quality.
QUALITY PLAN
A document detailing out quality practice, resources and sequence of activities relevant to the particular product, service, contractor project.
NON QUALITY
Global discrepancy between the quality level actually obtained and the quality objectives that were set.
INSPECTION PLAN
A document detailing out specific measures implemented to inspect a given product or service.
QUALITY CHECKS
Activities such as measuring, examining, testing, or gauging the characteristic of product or service, and comparing the observed characteristics with specified requirement.
QUALITY AUDIT
A systematic and independent examination to determine whether the quality activities and related results comply with planned arrangements and whether these arrangements are implemented effectively and suitable to achieve objectives.
Non – Conformance (or non‐compliance) The non‐fulfillment of specific requirements.
